The Ace Hotel has a great atmosphere of cozy friendliness and a sense of history. The lobby is spacious, furnished with comfortable couches, high tops, and wing back chairs. It invites you to get a drink at the bar and settle in with friends. The soaring ceiling of punched tin panels has beautiful stained glass windows, and a historic American flag hangs above the bar. From the moment of check-in, we felt welcome. Skyy, Osage, and Nelson were amazing - efficient, helpful, and friendly. Their greeting was a wonderful start to our stay. Zeno, our server in the bar and the next day at breakfast, was attentive and gave us the perfect recommendations for food and drinks. Terry and Steven, as well, were friendly and efficient. Our room was more modern, for those who enjoy that aesthetic, and th

After a disastrous stay at Ace Brooklyn last year - I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt as Ace was once my go to brand and book a stay at NYC. Like a bad ex - I need to learn it's time to say goodbye . The first room they gave me was the worst hotel room I have ever seen in my life, it was noisy, filthy, the carpet was damp, I'm sure the ceiling was leaking somewhere and the bathroom was not fit for purpose - impossible to manoeuvre in the shower, the shelf above the sink was hanging off the wall and even the whole shower tap came away in my hand,. They moved me on day 2 so a standard room that was much better -the caveat being (I found this out after I unpacked) the window was broken and did not open meaning it was like sleeping in an air tight tomb with absolutely no ai

The staff was friendly, helpful, and looked to be enjoying being there. The overall branding and aesthetic of the hotel lobby and lounge is modern, comfortable, and warm. The room... was clean, functional, and had nice indirect lighting. It did not, however, carrythrough the quality, style or thoughtfulness that you just experienced with the staff, the lounge, and the other spaces. The walls were bare, and furnishings were a noticeably-lower level of style and comfort. Would I stay there again? Possibly.

I booked a last minute business trip just before Christmas, and the room cost more than $600 per night for a small bunk room. The location was excellent, the staff were friendly, and it was convenient to have a cafe attached with good food available. The room was smaller than expected and did not include a desk, which made it difficult to take meetings. More concerning was the number of items that were broken. The chair was damaged, although it was replaced quickly. The iron leaked water onto my clothes. The shower handle came off when I tried to turn it on, and the cover of the heating unit also came loose. One evening, a note was slipped under my door stating that the hotel would be turning off the water supply for several hours that night. No alternative arrangements were mentioned.

Had an awesome stay at the Ace Hotel. The location is perfect, you can get anywhere fast, but the real win is the vibe. The lobby during the holidays is exactly what you want - warm, festive, and cool without trying too hard. Also lots of couches, lounge chairs, and tables plus a full bar and coffee shop The whole place has character and feels like somewhere you actually want to hang out. The room was comfortable - loved the decor and guitar. Shoutout to David at the front desk because he knows the hotel and neighborhood like the back of his hand and was always professional yet warm and welcoming when we'd see him. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat, especially around the holidays.
