Checked in super late (around 11:30 PM) and had a seamless experience—huge shoutout to the friendly front desk agent who made it quick and welcoming after a long travel day. The drive from San Diego International Airport was short, but heads up: if there’s an event or street activity happening, those last few blocks can take a while. Also, Google Maps sent me on a couple of creative detours—pro tip: enter from Fifth Street. The room layout (with a long hallway to the bathroom) made it feel surprisingly spacious. Everything was spotless, the bed and pillows were perfect, and even the towels were impressively soft and fresh-smelling—small details that matter. A few notes for future guests: The surrounding area felt a bit sketchy and could be cleaner (not the hotel’s fault, but worth know

The staff is very friendly (front desk, bartender, valet) and the inside of the hotel looks nice. However, if you're hoping for a quiet night's sleep, this is probably not the place. Each night I heard loud music from the nightclub next door until about 2am. They provide earplugs and a white noise machine (as shown in my photo), which I used, but it still didn't block out the noise enough for a restful sleep. The room itself is very small -- tight for two people, but manageable for one. The view from my window was extremely disappointing. As you can see in my photo, it looked directly onto a rooftop with air conditioning units, pipes, and a blank wall. Definitely not what you'd expect from a hotel in this area. On the morning I checked out, I requested an additional bath towel to shower

Mariah made our stay marvelous from check-in and onward! We enjoyed the sunny rooftop pool and this convenient location with lots to see, do and eat. (Just wish our balcony had chairs and that the midday midweek food and beverage options had longer hours. Though we enjoyed great local sips and bites at Saint James French Diner, Karina's, and Spill the Beans.)

If you’re used to really minimal environment sound, this spot is great. Lots of reviews complain about noise, but as someone who lives with others this was even less noise than that. Spent the weekend for a concert, the blinds do a great job of dampening noise and we were on the side of the building facing the club but neither my partner, nor I, were disturbed by the small amount of noise. Much cleaner than some other hotels I’ve been to, and even though we didn’t use any amenities, it was good knowing they’re there. Great location for walking anywhere near the Gaslamp district!

I had an event on New Years Eve in downtown San Diego NYE. I needed a place to stay near my event. It was pouring rain when I arrived. The valet staff was very helpful.I was greeted at my car door with umbrella service! They also helped me with my luggage and equipment. Joel the Valet Manager and his entire team were very hospitable and pleasant. Front Office team were super helpful !!! Anthony and Zarina really made my stay enjoyable. There service is top notch. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a nice boutique hotel in the Gas Lamp district. Close to everytning, PetCo Park where the padres, multiple shops, bars and restaurants literally walking distance. Thank you AC Hotel! Great way to start the new year out. I have worked in hotels my whole life, I know a good hotel when I
