AC Hotel Fort Lauderdale Sawgrass Mills/Sunrise

The hotel is literally next to Sawgrass Mills, which makes it very convenient if you’re planning to do outlet shopping. Free parking is also a plus! I want to shoutout Elizabeth (supervisor?), who really went above and beyond. She helped cancel and rebook our room over the phone and arranged a complimentary upgrade for us as a Gold Elite member, and guaranteed a late checkout. She handled everything very seamlessly and made the whole process completely hassle free. Kelly was also very helpful in extending our stay for an extra day and allowing us to remain in the same room. My only complaint is that the hotel lacks a few basic amenities such as Q-tips, robes and slippers. Disappointing… Housekeeping also tends to come quite late in the afternoon, usually after 2 pm. Excellent hotel. Firstly, we arrived a little early and was able to check in which was a great start. The room was absolutely lovely, very spacious and the bed was really comfortable. There was a fridge in the room, plenty storage and the bathroom was perfect with a nice shower and plenty space for storing your toiletries and doing your hair. The location of the hotel is spot on for hockey at the Amerant Bank Arena and perfect for shopping it's literally right beside it and plenty options for food nearby too. An additional bonus is Walmart is a 5 minute walk also. I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking to stay in Sunrise.

This is a really nice hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is large and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom is also large and had a great shower. We appreciated having a refrigerator in the room as well as a huge TV! |My only reason for not giving 5 stars is that it was expensive. The hotel is next to a huge mall, very suburban, not in the center of a city. But we paid city prices.

The hotel is clean, staff are nice. The location is good which is close to Sawgrass Mills mall. However, there is no slippers, no cleansing products like toothpaste, toothbrush, etc provide，that’s a bit troublesome as I do not expect no such stuff and I arrived late at night, cannot buy either. The breakfast is not as good as expected, just few choices for the buffet.

We ended up booking this hotel very last minute, late into the night, after our previous hotel didn’t meet expectations — and we’re SO glad we did. The hotel was absolutely stunning and extremely clean. The lobby was beautiful and made such a great first impression, and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. Such a relief after a rough start to the trip. Would definitely stay here again!
