A Place In The Sun Garden Hotel

I made a one-night reservation on 02/15/26 for a stay on 02/19/26 through the hotel’s direct website. I specifically booked through the link shown on Google because it clearly stated “Free Cancellation until Feb 19.” My travel plans were tentative, so that policy was the deciding factor in choosing this property. On 02/17/26, my plans changed and I no longer needed the reservation. I called the phone number listed on Google twice but received no answer. I also sent an email to the address provided on the hotel’s website. After waiting until 3:00 PM on 02/18/26 without any response, I called again. This time, I received a text message instructing me to call a different number. When I reached someone at that number and requested to cancel, I was told there was no free cancellation if you b

Positive: Price is what drew me to the hotel. Negative: I booked the room thinking, as advertised, I wouldn't have to pay in advance. When I arrived at the hotel, I realized they had already charged me. Perhaps this was because it was a same day, 1 night booking. They didn't explain when asked

They claim to be dog friendly! They charge 30$ per night for your dog. Your dog has to be in the room 100% of the time! You must take your dog off property to go to the bathroom…they are not allowed outside at the hotel! In a one week stay not once did they ask if I needed anything. I had to put garbage outside and ask for new towels, never once did they ask if my room needed a refresher, not once! Lastly, there are huge power lines over the pool area, not healthy! I do not recommend this hotel!

I wish I could recommend this place, but I just can’t. We (myself and my boyfriend, whose name the booking was under) booked through airbnb and unfortunately didn’t check google first for more honest reviews. They claim to be “dog friendly” but have a hidden $34.35 per night fee for dogs that they don’t openly disclose until you have already booked the room. There are also signs everywhere that say “no dogs allowed, keep dogs off grass.” That’s fine, as is an additional dog fee, but don’t claim to be dog friendly and spring extra costs on people after they have already booked with you. When we asked about the additional fee all we received was cold curt messages like “there is an extra fee.” Literally, that’s it. I honestly can’t believe there are so many bad reviews for this place. The design is really cute, and it has both a swimming pool and a hot tub. The room is very spacious, fully equipped with heating, a kitchen, and all the necessary amenities. Alex was extremely helpful and friendly. I have to give it 5 stars because it was absolutely great. Ah btw we are the 2 Vietnamese guys who came yesterday.
