A Beach Retreat On Casey Key

My husband and I visited right after Christmas. It’s was beautiful. We stayed in room 18. It was a perfect location, clean and well stocked. JJ , Natalie and everyone else at Retreat at Casey key are so inviting and friendly. We are explorers. We loved all the places we could walk to. 10/10 will definitely be back!

Great location, right on the beach w/access to private heated pool. However, we stayed in unit 34 which looked great online (spacious, private back deck) but it was dirty, sticky, outdated, and smelled moldy. There was a huge DVD collection and no DVD player, spotty and slow internet/TV, dusty grandma comforters, creaky broken bed frames, and random mismatched crappy kitchenware. For the price, the owner should have pride in putting more of an investment into updating this place. My entire family got sick upon leaving, assuming from the poor service clean in between visitor stays.

Positive: RIGHT ACROSS FROM THE BEACH Negative: YES RAP MUSIC BY THE POOL ALL DAY LONG! OTHER COUPLES HATES IT TOO! ALMOST EVERY DAY BESIDES SUNDAY.

We stayed only one night here. It was clean and well located. It is right on the beach and within walking distance to restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful.|Our room was large and had a lounge and kitchen. It had what we needed.|The bathroom and shower worked well.

The location and room were both very nice, but the courtyard could use some improvement. Large trash cans are set up throughout the area, which takes away from the atmosphere. It turns out every guest is expected to empty their own room trash into them, so it ends up feeling more like a chore than part of a beach getaway. Also, while they do provide soap, there’s no shampoo—so just a tip to pack your own if you don’t usually travel with it.
