9 Palms Inn

This is a fun, quirky motel that a lot of colorful paint covers its flaws. Clean and old, but a beautiful sunrise and sunset looking over the mountains. The parking lot is a bit of a challenge with sand at the entrance and bumpy paved hillside parking makes for careful riding of a motorcycle. Owner was nice and we'd stay again if passing through. Priced reasonable too.

Cute little place with several "little cabins" uniquely painted. The owner is from India and he explained to me about the colors. I guess you'll have to go there and find out! This is not upscale but I liked their prices, and the cabin was mostly for spending the night since we were spending all our time with family. The bed was comfortable. The place was clean. The little kitchen area had a fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee machine, a table and 2 chairs. Unfortunately, the fridge wasn't working but the freezer was. The bathroom in our cabin was small but doable. Gorgeous view of 29 Palms from our porch. The only issue we had was the parking lot. They definitely need to repave it. Otherwise, it is an inexpensive place to stay .

I loved this motel because of its peaceful energy, incredible views from the balcony, beautiful vital colors. Every day they cleaned my room. Definitely, I'm coming back with my family. Also location is very very close to the north entrance of joshua tree national park. Recommended.

- Everything is visibly dirty—all surfaces like the top of the drawer, inside the drawer, floor, bed sheets, etc.—and it makes you wonder if the room was even cleaned. - Towels also don’t look like they have been properly washed. These once-used-to-be-white towels are visibly yellow/gray, stained, and have things stuck on them. - The room smells faintly of smoke. - The bathroom smells like a sewer. - The sink leaks. Expect an ever growing puddle around it. - The bathtub faucet doesn’t fully close. Expect a constant dripping noise. - One of the beds creaks and squeaks horribly and loudly with every tiny movement (including breathing, it seems, because it was creaking when we weren’t moving at all!). If two people are lying on it, it’s even worse, and you might as well just give up on sleepi

We took a family trip, and this place was perfectly located near everything we wanted to see. The staff is absolutely amazing—truly the best! The inn is full of charm, and we loved every minute of our stay. We will definitely be coming back!
