601 The Reserve at Summer Bay Orlando by Exploria Resorts

I spent some time at 601 – The Reserve at Summer Bay Resort, mainly using the pool area, and it honestly impressed me. The pool is gorgeous and well maintained, and having not one but two hot tubs is a huge plus – both were clean, warm, and super relaxing. The seating setup is also solid, I’d rate it around a 7.5/10. There are standard loungers, but what really stands out are the more private seating areas with two chairs and curtains you can close for extra privacy. There are also grills available, which would be perfect for cooking out on certain nights, and bathrooms conveniently located right there, which is very practical. When checking in, the receptionist should have mentioned that there was a bar on the 6th floor in our building. It has an amazing view!!! You can see the fireworks every night at 9 pm. from the outdoor bar seating area. It's a big space, comfortable seating and very inviting. The bar closes at 9 pm, which I find absolutely ABSURD!!! There were 22 of us up there last night. We had only been there 15 minutes and they still closed at 9pm. The money they missed out on every night is shameful!!! When we first got there, Matthew, the bartender, mentioned that he had only been there for 5 days. He then commenced to tell us a huge sob story about getting fired from Disney World. I love love love this place we have been going every summer for the past 6 years. It is clean and has several pools and the staggering is incredible. It is 10 to 20 minutes to all Disney and Universal parks. Except Legoland which is an hour.

We always love staying at this resort. We've been here so many times it feels like home. I love the kids water park and the different games and activities they offer. All of the employees are always very friendly and helpful. The rooms are great. Very roomy and always clean. I love the fully stocked kitchen, very convenient.

Have been coming to Summer Bay over 20 years. Don't need to leave resort to have a fantastic time. Frequently have family reunion here. Free transportation to many theme parks. Greatgranddaughters loved the game rooms and crafts. Free miniature golf and heated pools. Enjoyed Hawaiian luau and game night with Conga line around pool.
