Best mountain in the area by a mile. If you need destination skiing and tons of après it won't do it for you, but if you want value look no further. Excellent glades, decent steeps, and a chair only open on weekends for advanced riders. The lodge is older and the food feels like Sysco, but it's not as expensive as many other hills. Parking is ample, free, plus a free shuttle; and a whole additional lot and "lodge" on the Sunrise lift that serves people who already have passes.

We visited 49 degrees for the first time with our Indy Pass and were very pleased with this mountain. The staff were incredibly happy and friendly, which makes a huge difference these days. After a few runs we went inside for a snack. The Idaho Nachos were amazing! I’ll be thinking about them until we return for more. We saw pizzas being hand tossed which was also a good sign. It’s evident that the people who work here and run the resort take pride in what they do, something else that is hard to come by these days. Only a portion of the lifts/runs were open for our visit but we still caught some incredible views and had nice runs on an uncrowded Monday. As a beginner skier myself, I feel that there could be better signage. When we took Lost Dutchman we found ourselves having to stop and l

49 Degrees North has made so many changes over the past few years. There’s way more glade-tree skiing than ever before, and the quad they installed about three years ago has been a game-changer—you can get to the top really quickly. I rarely go to Schweitzer anymore; it’s way too expensive, and the skiing isn’t as good as most people think, unless you like wind blown snow, people who can't operate chairs, and icy conditions. The grooming at 49 Degrees is really good, and the terrain flows well between runs. 49 Degrees is also part of the Indy family, which is a nice perk if you have a season pass. One of the best things I’ve noticed since the new owner took over is how well the lodge has been updated. The interior looks refreshed—beams sandblasted, new paint, new carpet, well-kept bathro

I’m on a mission to ski all the resorts nearby, inland northwest. I’ve heard so many good things about 49 and so I was pretty stoked as it my first time coming up here skiing. And yes, the ski resort was amazing, so big and beautiful and the views were just breathtaking. The staff we’re so nice and the bar had rice meal haha 😛 winner! Had fun checking our their merchandise store too, so many cool stuff.

This is a great place to bring your family. We brought our granddaughters to learn how to snowboard and then they went up the mountain to snowboard. We were very comfortable in the lodge sitting in the bar, listening to music. Nobody bothered us about the fact we weren't ordering anything. We were just sitting, staying warm and listening. Lovely atmosphere
