28 Peaks

We stayed at 28 Peaks for an ice-climbing trip to Lake City, CO, in January '25. The place rocks – it’s super cozy and clean, spacious, has wonderful bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, the kitchen is perfect for cooking and entertaining, and the hot tub is the icing on the cake (especially after long days of climbing ice). And not to forget – a fully stocked coffee bar! Can’t recommend this place enough.

A Cozy Mountain Escape with Thoughtful Touches We recently stayed at this beautiful home in Lake City, and it was everything we hoped for-and more. The remote location offered the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the serene mountain surroundings. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the thoughtful details: plush robes, a well-stocked coffee bar, and even a delightful dessert waiting for us. After long days of hiking, the cozy family room became our favorite spot to unwind and watch TV. The home was impeccably clean and exuded warmth and comfort throughout. If there's better lodging in Lake City, CO, I want proof! This site was an amazing, comfortable, and impeccably-equipped house that exceeded all our expectations. Hot tub, firepit, (should call it "29 Peaks" due to the mountain of chopped wood they provided. Every last detail was thought out and included in this place. Digital temperature controls for each room, an amazing kitchen with every bowl and utensil imaginable. The family room is open and bright with windows all around. The bedrooms were gorgeous with very comfortable beds. For aesthetics and comfort we give 28 Peaks an A++. We will be choosing 28-Peaks again when we return to Lake City.

Great place in Lake City! Park your truck and ride your Side by Side to the Alpine Loop. Wonderful bakery down the hill.
