Oh. My. Goodness. 5 Stars, hands down. Neither of us have been to Burlington VT (but we’ve both been camping in VT when we were younger) and since we love New England, we thought Burlington would be the perfect spot. And besides, we started planning the trip earlier this year because we both really needed a vacation – it had been years since either of us went away for “fun.” And it truly was the perfect spot! We spent five days and six nights here and it was seriously the most romantic getaway you could think of – partly because the room we stayed in was perfect: elegant and romantic but very simple. It was a tad bit too cold and rainy to sit on the porch or their patio most days, but I still appreciated the beautiful gardens and flowers that were still in bloom. Bill greeted us at the do

My husband booked our long weekend here, Thursday through Monday, or so he thought. Upon closer inspection we saw his reservation was for 2026, not 2025, but Bill was kind enough to welcome us in for the night at a cheaper rate knowing how hard it would be to find a room during peak and offered to help us to find another place to stay for the rest of our trip since he was booked the remaining nights. He was very hospitable, the room very clean and comfortable, and close to Church street. We would recommend to other travelers.

We stayed in ground floor suite, with separate entrance. Beautiful double room with en-suite and adjoining lounge area. Very comfortable, with drinks and light snacks available. Owner met us on arrival, provided excellent intro to Burlington and advice on restaurants etc.

This is the best B&B. It is walkable to the many restaurants, bars, shopping etc. The place itself is very spacious, clean and the amenities were perfect. Bill is very accommodating and helped us with luggage and where to find good seafood. I would highly recommend this B&B.

We are just back from a fabulous 3 night stay with family for our daughter's UVM graduation. 254 South Union exceeded our expectations - a great place for extended family members to stay! There was lots of room to spread out between the beautiful grounds, walking distance to town and UVM campus and, my favorite part, the well-equipped patio with comfy furniture, grill and fire pit and beautiful nightime lighting! There are also rocking chairs on the covered porch which came in handy during a brief downpour!||The Guest Room is a nice size with a Queen bed and Queen pull-out (with curtain and pocket door divider) right off the patio on the first floor.
