Don't let the outside appearance fool you; the rooms here are very nice—heated bathroom floors, comfortable beds, and good enough space. The shower heads are good, and the closet space is ample. The weakness would be the thin walls where you can hear everything in the next room... and I mean everything. ||The hotel has a couple of nice fire pits, a game room, and a community space to watch sports. The atmosphere is cozy, which is what I like considering the surroundings in the mountains. It's also walkable to restaurants and shopping.||Overall, I'd stay here again. 200 Main is actually affordable compared to their sister properties, which really helps.

200 Main is an absolutely magical place to stay in the Highlands! This spot was very cozy, the amenties were wonderful (fire pits, heated bathroom floors, hot tub, etc.), and most of all the location was perfect! A few minutes walk into the heart of town with all of the amazing restaurants and shops, and also access to the Old Edwards Inn (sister property) was great as well! Highly recommend to stay here if you want to stay at a hidden gem property in Highlands that has great mountain charm, friendly staff, and cozy atmosphere. Just book it already 10/10 recommend!

I stayed at 200 Main Hotel in Highlands, North Carolina in November 2024 for my birthday weekend, and it was absolutely wonderful! I was traveling solo with my goldendoodle, Libby, and the entire experience was top-notch from start to finish. This boutique hotel is part of the Old Edwards Hospitality Group, located just a short 2-3 block walk from the main Old Edwards Inn right in downtown Highlands. The location couldn’t be better — right at the end of Main Street and within easy walking distance of great shops, restaurants, and local bars. Although it’s an older property, the hotel has been completely renovated and brought up to true luxury standards — plush bed linens, thick bath towels, and high-end bath amenities. Wife and I spent a night here last week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the overall Highlands area vibe. We had a King Porch Fireplace room in the newer section, that also included a nice balcony, with two chairs for sitting and enjoying the outdoors.|Room was very spacious with a comfortable King bed, seating area, beautiful stone fireplace, and a large wall mounted TV over the gas fireplace. In addition the large bathroom had a walk in shower,and a great rainfall shower head, and the floors were heated. Very upscale feeling which my wife loved!||Last but not least, the staff we encountered were all very nice folks and extremely accommodating throughout our stay. My son gave us an Old Edwards gift card and we booked a stay at 200Main. We had such a lovely experience with excellent service. The room was beautiful with a comfortable bed and nice shower. The grounds were well manicured with walking paths and 2 fire pits. We enjoyed our stay.
