Yough Riverhouse

We had a great visit, cousins and spouses from 4 states. The accommodations were great and everyone enjoyed the visit. I was amazed at how well the house is stocked! We needed a light bulb and went to the basement landing and found one right away. Family really enjoyed sitting around the grill/fire pit area. We also congregated in the den, living room, and large front porch. Visited Fallingwater and the Flight 93 Memorial.

Absolutely beautiful home away from home! My family rented this space for Christmas and it was unexpectedly and beautifully decorated for us. The beds were exceedingly comfortable, and the hot tub was just what I needed after hiking in the nearby hills.

Beautiful, tranquil location on the banks of the Youghiogheny River was a perfect setting for our annual Columbus Day couples (and children!) retreat. The house itself is beautiful and spacious, with a great combo of modern amenities and rustic-rural feel. Very clean, and kid-friendly. The location could not have been more conducive to an active, outdoorsy weekend - steps away from the river (fishing, kayaking) and about 500 feet away from the beautiful Allegheny trail. We had a beautiful bike ride from Confluence to Ohiopyle (about 11 miles each way), and would have loved to do more. The outdoor firepit by the river is a fun bonus, too. The owners were easy to work with and helpful, and the price was very reasonable. If you are looking for a laid-back, outdoorsy vacation, definitely check

We stayed at the Riverhouse for two days, June 28th and 29th, and I slept with my clothes on if that gives you any idea of the cleanliness of the place. The L.P. Gas grill had no bottom on it, so the grilling experience was dreadful and super long to get the food cooked. The window A/C’s never caught up with the high summer temps. When the basic amenities to a good vacation rental property fall short, it’s just a bad deal.

We had such a great stay! The house is clean and beautiful. There is plenty of space for large groups. Many accommodations for small kids. Highly recommend!
