Casselman Overlook Guest House

I have stayed at the Casselman Overlook Guest House twice. Once I rented the whole house (three bedrooms) and another time rented only one room. There was no one else using the house. I see some reviews say the house is dated. However, I think the house is nice. The house is immaculate and everything is in good working order. I loved staying here and plan to stay again when I stay in town to bike the GAP trail again. I love the large deck which has two levels and overlook the Casselman River. Lower level is completely covered with two picnic tables and chairs. There is still plenty of room to store your bikes on the deck. The bikes are secure if you attach your bike lock to the strong cable attached to to deck. It's been very quiet at night even though you are next to Oden Street.

A lovely and relaxing place to stay. Well furnished kitchen and very comfortable. There is no wifi and I had no cell service but honestly that was not at all an issue.

Our night at Cassleman Overlook was spectacular after a long day on the GAP. We stayed in the suite which has its own private entrance in the back & deck that has the most relaxing view, we sat out there for a couple of hours before going to bed. The house is a bit dated but that’s what gives it the charm. I can stay in 4 or 5 star hotel anytime but that’s not the vibe of the GAP. Next year when we ride again we will call Connie and hope the suite is available! PS there was lots of cold water in the fridge downstairs- big plus after warm water all day.

Clean, running water, dry roof. Dated furnishings, crowded space, inconvenient tub shower. Very close to the trail, nice deck with covered but unsecured bike storage.

Beautiful house with a fantastic deck that overlooks the Castelman river. It was about half a mile off of the trail.
