Yellowstone Mountain Cabins

Small but comfortable cabin in Jardine. We liked being away from town where it was quiet, and we knew that when we booked. Our cabin could have slept four but I think it would have been too tight on space in the other rooms. Kitchen is tiny but fully functional. It was great that there was a spice set there, that helped tremendously with the cooking. Washer and dryer were nice to have too. The only issue I had was that there was a serious moth problem, and having dealt with that at home once definitely didn't want any hitchhikers coming home with me. Couldn't tell at first where they were getting in, then found gaps around the AC units and the door, so when dark outside and you had lights on, they storm on in. Ought to be easily fixable. We booked 4 nights here on Expedia. The cabin advertised was not what was received. Expedia's photos show a large spacious cabin. What you get is a small two bedroom with practically no space for your family. Luckily it was just the two of us so we made it work, but if there were 4 people in the unit there is NO place to sit together if it's not nice outside. The dining table is smaller than a card table and has one chair. The kitchen is dominated by a large stackable washer and dryer.||||The cabins are advertised as being 5 miles out of Gardiner. That 5 miles will take you 15 minutes as it's over a steep dirt road. The driveway into the cabin was even steeper and poorly maintained (The truck of the man showing us how to get to the cabin got stuck on it, which should be a clue)|||

Great place. Really really loved it. It's a way to stay in a cabin in what feels like the outside. Would stay here again.

We stayed in cabin nr 1 for 2 nights. You have to check-in in the town of Gardiner, but the cabins are located 5 Miles in the mountains in an abandoned gold diggers town, Jardine. You can see the oud mining shafts from your cabin. Only few traffic passes by on the gravel roads. We often spotted wildlife going up and down from Yellowstone to the cabin.||The cabin is dark and could be cleaner, but is provided with everything you need. A little strange they provide only 2 chairs on the table. We moved a little table from the bedroom to the kitchen to sit on.||WiFi is available in the cabins, little slow but working.

While we were a little nervous upon check-in and the initial drive to the cabin, we couldn't have been happier with our stay. Very clean, especially the restroom. Small fridge, stove, microwave, two person table and picnic table outdoors. Since our three night stay was towards the end of our trip having a washer and dryer was great. Beautiful scenery and even though out of town, it was still convenient.
