406 Lodge at Yellowstone

I stayed at 406 Lodge in June 2025, and the experience truly exceeded my expectations in every way.||The best part of staying at 406 was the location. We were able to walk everywhere — bars and restaurants, retail shops, ice cream spots, fly-fishing stores, and local sites such as the magnificent Roosevelt Arch, the nearby park, and Yellowstone Forever. Having that level of walkability made the entire trip feel effortless and immersive.||Yellowstone Forever, in particular, was a highlight. They offer wonderful tours and free events, and during our stay we attended an unforgettable stargazing event hosted by a local college professor. We learned a great deal about stargazing, participated in a hands-on science experiment, were given pictures of the universe to take home, and then went outsi

Very pleasantly surprised at the accommodations. We said in on of the little cabins. It was very clean, quiet and homey feeling. We would definitely recommend and stay there again. This couple also owns the Backcountry Bistro. Same thing, very clean, inviting and cozy. After eating at several different restaurants in Gardner, I can honestly say that our meal there was the best meal in town! Kudos to this young couple!

Comfortable and clean with a great view of the Yellowstone RIver. The kitchen was small but big enough to cook for a family of 5. Beds were comfortable. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio watching the river. Response via text was almost immediate!

Not fancy but large room with kitchenette and CLEAN. Comfortable beds. Large bathroom. |I doubt I’ll visit Gardiner again, but I won’t hesitate to stay here.

We loved the extra large rooms. We had 4 people with 2 rooms and appreciated that we could all comfortably gather together in either room and have a meal together. We really liked having the kitchenette; the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room in the bathroom for all of our things. In the evening, we saw an elk right outside our room. We definitely recommend this hotel.
