Customer Reviews
So, I think this place is awesome. We live in a supply and demand capitalist economy, and this is the least expensive place in town. In the summer, West Yellowstone is in high demand - this town is the closest place to stay just outside any entrance.||||I messed up my reservation and so showed up without one. Even so, the front desk person was really kind to me, and asked me to return late-late to check on no-shows. I did, and they were able to get me a room. Since I was traveling with my family, I am so thankful for their kindness and support. We would have been sleeping in the van or driving far.||||Our room was spacious, clean and nice. We were able to shower sleep comfortably well for the night. I think these folks are awesome, friendly, thoughtful and kind. I am from Kansas C
This hotel is in a great location close to everything by the West entrance. The shower was fantastic and the beds were really comfortable, there wasn't any dresser or closet space, and the carpets were pretty stained but I would probably stay here again.
Good location, downtown of West Yellow stone. The staff is friendly, But the facilities are a little old and poor, the bed sheets seem a bit worn. There seems to be a leak under the faucet when the water is turned on. The front desk is closed before 7 and after 10, so we were not able to get some hot water or coffee.
This might be a little lengthy, I however don’t like to give this poor of a review without full explanation. Back story leading up to reservation at Yellowstone Country Inn: I was on vacation rotating dispersed camping with hotel stays. Using the “USFS & BLM CG” app, I traveled to a dispersed camping sight to find a no overnight camping sign posted. It was late to travel to another camping site so using google maps looked for pet friendly lodging. Decided to try “Wander Camp” for a different experience. Upon arrival I was informed another customer had failed to vacate and there was no room available. “Wander Camp” did refund my reservation politely. I was back to google maps for more pet friendly hotels. Found “Yellowstone Country Inn” which according to google maps is pet friendly.
First off the location to the Yellowstone Park is fantastic. The exterior of the property is very cute and is what you would expect in a frontier town. That said I think the interior of the place is still from the 1800s. The carpeting was so gross we had to wear flip-flops. The bathroom in the unit I stayed in was very cheaply updated. Clearly this property is poorly maintained. The faucet and showerhead leaked in the bathroom. There were no side tables or lamps in my room.. The the air conditioner in the room needed a deep cleaning and maintenance as it seemed to be on its last leg.
