Wyvern Hotel, an Ascend Collection Hotel

The front desk was extremely courteous and made check-in very pleasant. The location is great to walk to all restaurants...only 2 blocks away. Parking was close and very accessible. The only downfall was the DJ playing on the roof. We stayed on the 5th floor and the music was absurdly loud. We actually went to the rooftop to check it out....it made no sense to be playing the music so loud. Nobody even wanted it on. The Saturday morning farmers market a few blocks away was awesome!

Hotel was really nice only ran into a couple of issues with asking for necessities and one of the towels being really dirty. Check in was flawless as well as check out. Restaurant was nice, food was good. A bit expensive. They need 2 chairs or a couch in each room with a back on them, just a suggestion...

The staff at check in were excellent. The room was beautiful. The roof top bar was a bit disappointing. When ordering there was no Yueling but my husband was ok with a Corona. The bar was out. I ordered a gin and tonic but they had no tonic water. I would think tonic water is pretty basic to have on hand. I had a wine and we left and took our business elsewhere. I would definately recommend the hotel to friends but warn them that they may want to go elsewhere for a cocktail.

Everything about this hotel was great! Had the option to check in early for a nominal fee. I feel like my room must have been upgraded and it was outstanding with a massive view of the city and the harbor. The rooftop bar is so much fun with more great views. We had no problems or issues at this hotel. Walking distance to many restaurants, shopping, parks, the harbor, etc.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great location, walking distance to downtown and Fisherman's Village via the harbor walk. Excellent view of Peace River. Impressed with the carpentry details; tray ceilings, crown moulding, marble shower, etc. Rooftop was great as we watched the Christmas tree lighting without the crowd. Looking forward to returning.
