Wyndham Vacation Resorts Lake Marion

Visited this location while visiting family in Augusta, GA. Rooms: The rooms are nicer than some of the other Wyndham properties. There were just a lot of dust on the headboards & fans, modern television (would have been nice to access streaming services), faucets with grime build up that definitely need to be replaced, small showers in the master bedroom, and drains that need to be unclogged. The floors were clean & we didn’t have any issues with many bugs. There were silverfish in the room. Location: this location is 5 minutes away from a Cracker Barrell, McDonalds, and gas station. There is also a beautiful view of the lake. Other common amenities like Walmart, commercial gyms, or nice restaurants are 30+ minutes away in Orangeburg Service: Great fast customer service. Good: Wyndam staff on-site are wonderful! Grounds are clean, nice pool area. Bad: not even remotely a "resort". Lake front condos with no easy access to Lake Marion (you can't just walk up to the water, swim, etc...). Showers have mold in them, cracks in the walls above the shower walls, first room we were in had an unidentifiable stain in a particular spray pattern on the head board, and plenty of dust. Large water stain in picture above headboard. Several condos are permanently lived in, and we were woken up by someone's grandkids above us jumping up and down. No spa, no food on site (although delivery is readily available). NOT A RESORT. The same money would have rented a cabin with our own four walls and privacy.

Truly one of the best stays we have ever experienced. Stephanie and Ruth were very friendly and accommodating. The communication was great. The property is clean and well keep. Thank you guys so much and can't wait until next year.

This is a very good hidden resort. Lean and well maintained. Next to Lake Marion for boating and fishing. Limited amenities. A few decent local restaurants.

I would comeback for the fishing, but not as a family vacation. The wife did not have much to do at this resort. We are VIP owners, and Wyndham standards are much higher as expected. We felt it was dated. The elevators really need ventilation. It was like walking in to a sauna. Not sure but it looked as if they had permanent residents staying there.
