Cypress View Campground

THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY… We stayed in the Cypress campground, so the following remarks are exclusively about Cypress. Overall, I rate this state park very good. So first the GOOD…the bathrooms were very clean during our stay and the entire park is very quiet and serene. It is thickly forested so if you’re not into tree hugging, this is not the campground for you. We have solar panels on our RV roof and trees make me nervous! Also GOOD, the dump station was conveniently located on the way out. Water views are very limited to camping spots 35, 34, 31, 41 and 43! Please note that spot 35 can get obstructed if a really long camper parks in spot 34. You will only get a partial view of the water in 35 if 34 obstructs you, All the spots seemed to be pretty level, although highly grav

Great camping area. Convient location for playing golf and plenty of places to eat. The ride to Summerville is about 40 min. Via I- 95 to I-26 to Charleston SC

Overlooking the lake, easy accessible trails from your campsite down to the lake. 4 walking trails. This place was absolutely stunning. It has everything you need for hookups, tent, campers, trailers, or RV’s Camp store has a walkout pier and glass indoor viewing area. You can rent kayaks or bring your own. Fellow campers were friendly. Well stocked little store at reasonable prices. There is an Educational Interpreting Center at the Ranger Station/checkin. Customer service was fantastic.

Such a calming space to break away from everyday life and enjoy God's creation with a couple amenities.
