Tru by Hilton Santee

Positive: Large room with high ceilings. Good free breakfast. Negative: Pet fee ($75) is excessive. Holiday Inn charges $30. Also, shower did not work. Water came out of lower spout, but could not be directed up to the shower heads.

With many years of I-95 road trips under our belts, we’ve learned how difficult it can be to find accommodations along the route that aren’t aging or poorly maintained. This Tru, which appears to be just a few years old, is a welcome addition. The property is located right off I-95, making it ideal for overnight stops; no exaggeration, we were back on the highway within a minute of exiting the parking lot. The hotel has a diverse mix of clientele, ranging from fellow road trippers to business travelers, golfers, and even a huge family reunion. The morning breakfast was well stocked with a variety of items (best selection I’ve seen from a Tru) and Cracker Barrel is a quick walk across the street if you’re looking for a convenient dinner option. ||Our room was impeccably clean - honestly on

We were just looking for somewhere to spend the night on our way to Florida. Just happened to pick Tru by Hilton. Everyone was welcoming. Room was nice. Mini fridge. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Not a 5 star breakfast but good. No complaints.

Clean and comfortable. Desk service was very friendly and prompt. Cheaper to book online in advance ($50). Breakfast was good except for the powdered eggs. Only small issue is the beds were creaky. I would not hesitate to stay again.

Room way over priced. I paid 141.00 including tax. Room was very spartan and had one chair with a small table to eat. Road noise very loud. Floor was not carpet but when walked on it with bare feet felt dirty. Bed was adequate as far as comfort . Shower was very poor water pressure barely came out. Staff at front desk ck in was nice but that is only nice thing I can say. The breakfast was absolutely horrible. Coffee bitter, pancake chewy and spongy, grits barely hot and lumpy. Egg omelet was like rubber and the orange juice should not be labeled orange juice . It had to be at least 2/3 water and if lucky one third juice. I don't know how could be called juice. The bacon was soggy. I know it could be better because I had just stayed 5 days at Hampton Inn in Washington NC also owned by Hilto
