Customer Reviews
The location is good for everything Gettysburg, it right off the highway and easy access to downtown and everything else. Theres also a very good diner literally in the parking lot which is a plus. My only complaint is the room seemed a bit beat up and old. The floor creaked in the shower, the bathroom sink handles were partially broken, and everything just seemed worn. The beds were comfortable but odd... the mattresses had these big fluffy pads on them almost like they were covering a hard mattress like we did back in college. Overall a good stay though and the staff was very nice. The pool is a good size for the 16 kids in our group and the hot tub was comfortable for 8 adults. Pricing was also very affordable especially with the group rate.
We stayed at the Wyndham for just one night. The hotel lobby was very nice. The room, not so good. The first room we were given the bed had a big dip in the middle and the head part was lower than the foot. Also the TV didn't work. We moved to another room, bed was better but not very comfortable. The TV was ridiculously small for the size of the room. I will give the pool area a five star review. The pool area and spa were very nice.
Positive: Excellent location and very quiet stay. Exceptionally quiet temperature control. Lovely atmosphere of color and beautiful furnishings in all public areas. Negative: The shower needed some serious maintenance with quite a bit of missing grout, hit and miss caulking repair, and the elevators had a surprising amount of cracked tiles.
The rooms were quite spacious, but the TV was very small, no channels unless you wanted to watch sports. No microwave, the fridge was very small with no freezer. If they would pay more attention to the amenities in the room than their common areas, I mean they have 2 wooden chairs in the lobby that Sasquatch could sit in that probably cost $10k each. There is so much unusable space on the first floor. It's beautiful, but nonfunctional except for maybe accommodating large standing crowds. The rooms are carpeted, the King size bed was very comfortable. Sleep was restful, except for the night we stayed and the fire alarms in the whole building went off, 2 fire trucks showed up. No explanation was given. There is no free breakfast and the in house restaurant was very expensive. I understa
Breakfast is delicious. Rooms are well appointed. Beautifully decorated throughout. Feels like your in a presidential hotel. Lobby area is full of elegance. Swimming pool and gym are an added bonus. Will highly recommend if you don't want to stay in the middle of busy town .
