Holiday Inn Express & Suites Gettysburg by IHG

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was what to be expected at a holiday inn express. It wasn’t special but it wasn’t bad either just ok. Pool was clean. What keeps this from being a 5 star review is the shower heads in the room. Low flow. Super low flow! They aren’t clogged or damaged they are just the lowest flow shower heads possible. You have to spend an extra 5 to 10 minutes in the shower to rinse off.

Very nice place to stop overnight on our way South. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Stayed in a regular king room which was very standard for Holiday Inn Express. Only thing we didn't understand was there was a faint smell of cigarette smoke right as we came into the room but the rest of the room smelled fine. Breakfast again was your typical HIE breakfast but everything was stocked well. If you need fresh filtered water there's a fountain with a bottle filler in the gym area. We did not try the gym out or the pool but both looked very clean. The hotel is located behind the outlet mall parallel to 15 thankfully the road noise in the room was minimal. Be aware this is a dog friendly hotel so there can be "landmines" in the grassy areas.

Stayed for one night. The hotel is new and so everything is in good shape here. Front staff was really friendly. Hotel breakfast is good - I like the Costa coffee machines. Having a fresh brew coffee at a hotel is a nice touch. The hotel is a bit of a ways out from the historic downtown but close to Culps Hill and other historic battlefield sites, so you can start a self-guided tour from here.

My stay at the Holiday Inn was a tale of extremes. Let me hit the highlights and the lowlights. ||Highlights: The rooms are pretty spacious. Bathrooms have body wash, shampoo, etc, so makes it easy for traveling. The breakfast was actually pretty good. I’m gluten free for health reasons but was able to find some stuff to eat. The gym is great compared to most hotels. They have up to 50 pound dumbbells, a bench, and some cardio equipment. Bed was comfortable.||The lowlights: Cleanliness was questionable. When I arrived there were at least two items mentioning tips for the cleaning crew Jessica. However, there was a dirty cup in the window (picture attached), only half a roll of toilet paper on one side of the dispenser, and the refrigerator took hours to actually cool down. The

It was the perfect last minute stay. We are leaving from South Carolina, traveling to New York and just needed a place to recharge to continue our trip. Found this hotel, walked in, booked a room. My kids enjoyed the pool in the evening. Room was cleaned, beds were comfortable and breakfast was delicious in the morning. Reception staff were very attentive.
