WoodSpring Suites Washington DC East Arena Drive

This extended-stay hotel is very affordable for an area like Washington, DC, but it is clearly in need of significant updates and better management. The property feels tired and worn. I stayed for two weeks, booking one week at a time, and during my entire stay no housekeeping was ever offered. I ended up washing my own sheets and towels. Even when I checked out and checked back in on the same day, no one appeared to notice or service the room. Trash was never removed from my room during my stay, and there were roaches, which is not surprising given that rooms are not cleaned unless a guest fully checks out and leaves. The carpeting throughout the hotel is dirty and heavily stained, and most days it was obvious that the hallways had not been vacuumed. In my room, the sofa looks like it ha

Positive: Not one thing. It was listed as a 3-star location, with decent reviews-"it was not"! Save your time and money and stay somewhere else. Negative: When I arrived, the lobby felt like a jail. I had to had to leave my Drivers License with the desk, go upstairs, check the room to see if it was acceptable before I could check in. It was a mess, dirty, broken door, sticky floors and desk.

This is a wonderful place to stay thanks to the outstanding staff. The front desk team, Ms. Stacy and Ms.Shariena, are friendly, professional, and they always take the time to be as helpful as possible. The general manager, Mr.John is also very prompt and attentive, ensuring everything we need is handled smoothly and efficiently. Mr. Don, the maintenance man was extremely helpful and responds quickly, resolving any issues efficiently and always with a great attitude. Excellent service all around—this level of care truly makes our stay enjoyable.

What makes this a great place to say is the staff and location. All 3 shifts was outstanding, I commend upper management for hiring the right people for the job. Now the downside, 🙁. Ether housekeeping is not informing management of condition of the room or management is not looking into it. Here’s my experience in room 305 the bed has a dip in it, like the springs are bad on the left side. I informed the front desk the young lady did write it up, but nothing was done about it, though out my stay. The water pressure is not good in this room and there was some roaches, not an infection but they are there…. I understand this is an extended stay hotel, but only allowed to change your towels every 14 days is crazy to me. If this policy can be changed to every 5 days that would be great. La
