College Park Marriott Hotel & Conference Center

I would not recommend the College Park Marriott Hotel & Conference Center to ANYONE! We have had several disappointing stays at this hotel and decided to give it one last try. On the day prior to our stay we received an email that as a Gold Elite Member I had received an upgrade to a King sized suite with a pullout bed. I knew that renovations were being done at the hotel but assumed the whole hotel was completed by now. We arrived at about 10:30pm at night and were tired from a 3 hour car ride and when I received the keys from the front desk they again reiterated that as a Gold Elite Member I was being upgraded. The room was in another building and as we went down the hallway it smelled like ammonia as my wife said she did not like the smell. When we got in the room, it was clear tha

Positive: The hotel was a 10 minute walk from my meeting. However, there was construction, so the path wasn't as clear as it could be Negative: "/"Cozy King/" is code for /"Miniature King/".The other absoltuely awful feature is the glass /"barn door/" for the bathroom. There is no fan, so everything can be heard. It would be fine for 1 person, but not 2."

Outstanding Service from Tyler at the Front Desk!! As first-time guests at this Marriott while also traveling from VA, we weren’t sure what to expect but Tyler at the front desk immediately made us feel genuinely welcomed and valued. From the moment we arrived, his professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail stood out. When he learned we were celebrating our anniversary, Tyler went above and beyond to accommodate us graciously and make the occasion feel special, turning what could have been an ordinary stay into a memorable experience. His willingness to go the extra mile truly set the tone for our visit and reflects everything you hope for in outstanding hospitality. Because of Tyler, we’ll absolutely be returning and recommending this property to others.

My son and I had an outstanding stay at the Marriott at the University of Maryland. From the moment I arrived, the entire front desk team set the tone for a fantastic experience. Sam, Flame, and Trudy were exceptional—warm, friendly, and full of positive energy that made me feel like a valued guest. Their kindness and enthusiasm truly elevated my stay and showcased what great hospitality looks like. The property itself is well‑maintained, comfortable, and conveniently located. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the UMD area.

Me and my boyfriend stay here for my birthday weekend at first arriving at night we had some issues with the incidental hold. But being my birthday weekend I didn’t want it to be ruining. So next day we met an associate name Starr I hope I got his name right tall guy very friendly. So he explain to us the incidental hold even tho we knew it the ladies made a mistake during the previous night. But Starr gave the best customer service explain to us breakfast time and everything. He was on top of everything. We need more ppl like him in customer service thank you for a great experience. Everything else about the hotel was good and the restaurant seem over priced but the food was delicious and they were friendly as well.
