WoodSpring Suites Tucson Medical Center

I stayed here in January, I did have a good time. However, I feel the overall experience could’ve been better with a little improvement. The kitchenette in the room was empty, some basic cutlery and glasses would be helpful. And there was no toothbrush in the bathroom. It’s a hassle to go down and get it when you checkin very late, and the water station is on ground floor. There’s a vending machine for snacks that’s a saviour. But all in all as it’s a brand new hotel, a preferred choice for the price compared to others in the area! There’s a Starbucks in the campus now. For convenience, there’s a Circle K walkable from the hotel.

From check-in through our early check-out, this was easily the worst hotel stay I have experienced. While I understand that marijuana use is legal in Arizona, the hotel clearly displays signs stating that vaping and smoking are not permitted in guest rooms. When traveling with students, safety and security are critical factors when choosing accommodations. Given the hotel's relatively new condition and its location near a medical center, I assumed it would be a safe and well-managed property. Unfortunately, that assumption proved incorrect. When these concerns were brought to his attention, he explained that he walks the hallways in the mornings and can smell marijuana on the floors but cannot determine which rooms the odor is coming from. If the issue were addressed when it actually occur

Pros: Quiet/safe location, clean/new rooms, comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Cons: I don't really understand the lack of extras in the room. It seems very cheap. 2 people 2 nights and only 2 towels and washcloths. We had to ask for more. No house keeping. No iron. 2 very small plastic cups. Charges for any dishes. No breakfast or even coffee in the lobby. For the price I would have expected a few basic things hotels usually have. The bed frame was very weak and not good for adult fun be it bounces off the floor. Besides Starbucks nowhere to walk to that is close. But it was ok.

The manager was amazing! She was very kind and accommodating. She extended our stay through the weekend at the rate we already had and allowed us a late check out. This hotel had the most affordable rates out of other options available. My only criticism would be that there is no coffee in the room or lobby, however, with the lower rates compared to others and the good size of the room I was okay with that trade off. We also traveled with pets and had no issues.

I'm my grandmother's POA and she needed to be taken to the specialists in the area around this hotel. We drove down the day prior to her Appointment and stayed over night, and then when she became unexpectedly ill the next day after her visit, they were wonderful; they let us undo our checkout without any hassle and keep the same room for no extra cost save for staying another night. The staff are incredibly friendly and understanding and were so accommodating; it was honestly a blessing. I'll be rebooking again with them as she will have surgery later and sticking to this hotel given that, as well as the amazing pricing for such a clean, well equipped hotel!
