WoodSpring Suites Holland - Grand Rapids

We’ve been staying at the WoodSpring Suites in Holland for a long-term winter stay, and it’s been a genuinely great experience. The hotel is clean, quiet, and very reasonably priced for extended stays. What really stands out is the staff. Every day we see them either cleaning the hallways, working the front desk, or, before the snow hit, outside picking up dog waste that some guests unfortunately leave behind. That level of attention is a huge contrast to another extended-stay hotel we tried previously. The rooms are impressively quiet. You rarely hear neighbors, which makes a long stay much more comfortable. The staff who handle our bi-weekly room cleanings do an excellent job, and they even talk to our dog while he’s in his kennel to help keep him calm, which says a lot about the care

I have no idea how this place is rated as a 3 star hotel. It should be 1 star. 1. Smells like weed everywhere. Outside and inside 2. No lobby 3. No coffee 4. No internet 5. They do not clean rooms for 15 days 6. Has a kitchen where stoves don’t work and microwaves are broken 7. No soap 8. Rooms are not clean at all.. the dirtiest rooms I’ve ever seen in my life 9. Mold in the bathrooms No trash clean up. Check out the pics. Had to check out and found a Marriott instead. What kind of nonsense response is this? “We are an Extended stay Hotel, our offering are different” It’s a crappy room where even the microwave, bathrooms were not clean. It was a complete joke. Yeah and the stove probably still doesn’t work. That’s what you call extended stay offering?

The hotel's location was conveniently situated. However, there were some issues with the front desk staff's behavior. Despite checking in alone with one adult, they insisted on photocopying both of our licenses/identifications. Even though the room was booked under my name, they still required both of our IDs. They proceeded to make photocopies and retained the printed copies, mentioning that they would keep them on file for seven years. This policy raises some concerns regarding privacy and security.

Positive: "" Negative: I did not like the layout of the bed which was on a metal frame with legs. The shower head needs to be replaced and the strip around the bathroom wall. There was no lamp and tv poorly mounted. No staff member is available after 10pm.

I had a great time during my stay at the hotel. Kelly one of the stuff is really amazing. She’s kind and super helpful. The stuff is nice and super helpful.
