Winter Haven Motel & Pine Stump Junction Rentals

Perfect location for a UP get away! Many miles of trails nearby, and a few food options too. The rustic wood fire sauna was a bonus after a day of exploring! The rooms were spacious, and management was accommodating. Overall a very fun stay for us; looking forward to seeing what the new owners do with the place!

Jeff and his Mom run a clean, reasonably priced, centrally located motel. The room was clean and supplied all necessary items. We had a full size fridge and microwave in room 1. Bed was very firm. Kids said the bunk beds were comfortable. There was free wi-fi and dish TV. Jeff, the proprieter gave helpful advice on rock hunting (he is also a licensed dealer for Yooper-lites). The other room residents were very friendly. We did have a bit of a drive to find restaurants, but I'm guessing this was in large part due to Michigan's Governor closing everything due to covid.

Motel sits right on the trail and lots of room for trucks and trailers. We had a great time staying here because it was so accessible to all the trails and walking distance to Pine stump junction bar. Defiantly will stay again.

Super friendly owner, super clean room with all of your basic needs for cooking! Beds were really comfy as well! Convenient location for rock hunting as well! Room price was a fair price also. Overall a great experience! Highly recommend!! Can't wait to return in the Spring!!

I stayed 2 nights in Nov 2024. We had a couple issues but Jackie was amazing and went above and beyond to fix our issues and make our stay great. Jackie was a wonderful person and a great host. I look forward to staying there again next year, hopefully Jackie is still there!
