The Trail Inn

This has quickly become my new favorite place to stay in Newberry. The new management has made some great updates, making the space very clean, comfortable, and affordable. It’s the perfect spot to hit the trails and offers easy check-in. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!

My son took one room, my husband and I next door. Without lobby staff, we were still able to retrieve our keys with clear directions from an earlier received text message. Arriving later, I appreciated the bedside lamps on and welcoming us. Our rooms were clean and for an overnight stay, were perfect for our UP adventure.

If you don't want any sleep and do want a stiff neck and back for a week this is your place! The room was clean and access to the main road is good although the "Inn" reminds me of a run down motor hotel with lots of noise and light. The bathroom door was notched so it could open without running into the child size toilet. The management team needs education on what customer service should be. While making a last minute trip to view properties to purchase I made reservations at 3 separate hotels through Expedia (do not recommend Expedia either). I thought I completed a reservation at the Trails Inn but I did not receive notification and it was not on my itinerary. I waited an hour and made another reservation. This was a great stop on the first leg of our UP tour! We only stayed one night but it would have been comfortable to stay there for a few days. We loved the automated check in process, it was so seamless and they were very communicative with us leading up to the check-in! Comfortable beds, clean room, we would stay here again!

Our room was very clean and smelled great upon entering. We were arriving VERY late (2am) and the lobby was open for us to be able to get our key and the lamp was on in our room which we greatly appreciated with coming in so late. Check In was super easy. We would definitely stay here again of traveling in the area. Highly recommend
