Winstar World Casino Hotel

I visited WinStar on my birthday expecting a relaxing day. Most of my time was spent at the spa, which was wonderful. However, when I tried to reserve a lounger at Cascades, I encountered a staff member named Austin who dismissed me with incorrect information. He told me no loungers were available for the entire day, only for me to later find out from another staff member that plenty were available starting at 3 p.m. I purchased a pass from her instead and returned at 4 p.m., only to be stopped at the entrance by Austin again. This time he accused me of trying to bring food into the pool area when all I had was a water bottle and a bag with a hat I’d bought in the gift shop. Despite my explanation, he continued in a condescending manner and insisted his unfounded assumption was correct.||T

Second time staying there and we love it. Clean modern rooms. Quiet hotel environment. Safe, indoor access to casino. Comfortable beds. I love the blood orange scented shower cleanse, shampoo and conditioner. I hope they don't change them. Looking forward to traveling there from San Antonio, tx again.

Room - spa tower is where I was. Easy access to the spa area, my favorite part. Room are clean, updated and well kept. They leave chocolates on the bedside table which is amazing for us sweet tooth. Service - other than the cost, no issues. If I need my room refreshed, extra towels, room service or any issues arise, its as easy as calling the front desk and windstar is on top of it. No issues at all. Location - for us Texans, its across the red river. Great drive if the roads were better maintained. Being in Oklahoma and once out of Texas, its pretty quick getting g to anywhere one wants to go. Overall, nothing to complain aboit for a 2 day mini vacation. We came to WinStar the day before Christmas eve with coupons (from WinStar mailers) with a free room for the night with view of the pool. This is our second visit. Our room was so clean with a beautiful view! There were some holding fees which will be returned at check out but we got to explore the map layout of the casino, restaurants, view the concert building, golf course and review the mobile app discounts and points. It's a lot of walking but so much too see! The Christmas decor is beautiful. We where so grateful to get away for the night and the room service dinner was generous! Easy to access right off the 35N in Thackerville, OK. Only about 8 miles from Gainesville, TX. Plenty of parking Valet is available. Staff are friendly and very helpful. The casino offers a great variety of machines and you never know when you will get lucky!
