Wingate by Wyndham Los Alamos

Mix feelings about this one. Location is as good as you’ll get to the slopes. Rooms were clean, but there are NO clothing rods in ANY of the rooms. Breakfast was perfectly fine. Sonia at the desk was great and had a wonderful personality. Unfortunately Sonia couldn’t be at the desk 24/7 lol. The third night my girlfriend tried to use the hairdryer, it didn’t work. I went to call the young man at the desk and the phone didn’t work either. Dead, completely dead. Pretty sure that’s a serious issue. Went down to the desk to ask for a hairdryer. Kid mumbled so badly I was just barely able to make out that there were no hairdryers. Guess he couldn’t pull one from an empty room. The lady that checked us in back on Thursday was very nice and spoke without mumbling. She did also move us

Positive: The location Negative: Trip was fine, stay was fine until I got home and realize I left something at the hotel. Ask them to ship it back to me and they told me they couldn’t do it. Manager was to call me on Monday after my stay and I still have not heard from her.

Our stay at Wingate by Wyndham in Los Alamos, NM was an absolute dream. Every single one of the General Managers/Desk Clerks was cheerful, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make our stay great! The elevator was not working upon our arrival so Sonia made sure to give us a room on the first floor. She made sure we knew which local restaurants were open on the weekend (a real problem in Los Alamos is the dearth of restaurants on the weekends). The hotel's common areas were immaculate. We would often see the Desk Clerk wiping down counters or furniture, or sweeping the hallway floor. The breakfast area was also kept very clean. One negative is that they do not have a hot water spigot/coffee machine. The worker responsible for our first breakfast revealed that the hot water in the car

A very run down hotel in the apparently slow process of being remodeled. No elevator. No working phone system. No internet. No clothes closet. Unreachable hooks on wall for clothes. We had a newly remodeled room that was like a cute college dorm room. You can tell that someone has studied design, but it's not what anyone over 30 is looking for in accommodations. Beds were really awful - old mattresses, but the linens were decent. TV channel selection was excellent. Staff is pleasant but not professional hotel management level. Cancelations require 72 hours notice - really? Who does that? We booked it because of its location. It was a poor choice. I should have taken the time to read the reviews more carefully.

Ashley, Sonia and the breakfast crew are the All-Stars here! Thier warm welcome and connection to historyand the community was great! Very Decent stay! But for $155.00 total, there was No elevators and the wifi/ casting of apps to the TV was overly complex and didn't work. But there is live TV with commercials.
