This was, unfortunately, the worst hotel experience I have had to date. The interaction with the front desk staff was highly unprofessional and lacked basic customer service standards. A representative from Hotels.com contacted the hotel multiple times on my behalf in an effort to resolve the issue. She informed me that Amy placed her on hold, disconnected the call, and then did not respond to further attempts at communication. As a result, the representative asked me to go to the front desk directly to address the matter. My concern involved the hot tub, which was not functioning properly. When I brought this to Amy’s attention, she insisted that it was working. After I explained the specific issue, she responded that the hot tub is considered an amenity and therefore not guaranteed. My stay was extremely disappointing. The jacuzzi tub had a ring of grime and made a high-pitched squeal when running. There was tape peeling from an old paint job hanging off the walls, and old food left in the refrigerator — which tells me housekeeping didn’t properly clean the room, and whoever inspected it didn’t check it either. Disgusting. No one answers at the front desk to complain to. ||Check-in was also a mess. The older woman at the front desk kept saying she “doesn’t check people in.” Why not? Checking guests in, out, and handling reservations is a major part of the job. So is she not trained properly, or not trained at all? The whole interaction was frustrating and unprofessional.||This experience was far below the standard I expected, and I’m asking for this to be made right.

I am sure once all of the construction is done it will be better but for our stay it was very loud. Also the bathrooms could really use some updating as the surrounds around our tub or kind of peeling and cracking. There was no continental breakfast because that is where they are remodeling. And it also showed that there was a hot tub but there was not.

Although staying during construction wasn't the most peaceful, the service and breakfast/coffee far surpassed expectations. Staff- especially Jessica, the Assistant Manager, were beyond friendly and helpful. They did a great job accommodating us despite the construction going on. Highly recommend!
