Extended Stay America Select Suites- Appleton - Fox Cities

I stayed here for a few months after I lost my house. The area is good and safe, and a lot of people make comments about the staff. While I did experience some of it early on in my stay, it wasn’t as bad as people say. I just paid my rent on time and followed the rules. People complain about towels and cooking equipment when you can literally get those yourself from a dollar store. Also, the General Manager Cassandra was always nice and greeted you with a smile. And she was always filling in on missing shifts , helping to clean rooms and walking the floors. I would recommend this place if you need a good place for a while.

Positive: Nothing Negative: The room smelled like urine, the carpets were stained the furniture was very run down and damaged. The shower took forever to get hot then the tub instantly clogged. Will never return to that hotel

So, I was at the hotel for a short period of time. I will give the benefit of doubt that there was misunderstanding of cleaning dates. ||However, the maid went into my room to “clean” but then didn’t. She left the curtains open, bathroom light on, and my drawers were open. I went to front desk to complain.||The curtains being open is that big of a deal except, both windows were in full sun all day and being on the second floor, the room was miserably hot.||When manager was asked about the drawers being open, she said that the maid was checking to see if I was still in the room (paraphrasing). The deal is, you can see my stuff everywhere, so there was no need for it. She also said she was there when the maid went into my room. She wasn’t. She lied to me. i stayed here with a friend of mine while we are in town working and even though they have lowered it to the lowest brand standard and don't supply any amenities the front desk woman Ashley that checked my friend in was amazing and made us feel like we were very welcome. i watched her later that night not only doing laundry but vacuumed the entire hallway on each floor and made sure the entrance was clean and welcoming and also cleaned the elevator which i don't see get done a lot at other hotels. I'm very impressed with the service at this hotel and wish i had the same experience i had with Ashley as i had with other front desk agents. Def will be staying again in the future and recommending this hotel to all my work mates

My Husband And I Have A Queen Size Room. We Have Been Here 7 Months. February We Had A Lot Of Issues With Staff. The Rooms Are Basic. I Like The Location. Needs Lots Of Improvement.
