This site is a ways up a hill from the water. Nice beach though and the site is nice and shady. Lots of wood around. We moved to G6 which is close to this site & was right on water, however no wood around & a lot of sap. The view was worth the move! Here's pics from 27...foggy morning in some, beautiful sunrise!
Camped there with my wife before DNR owned the land. Those were some good times. After DNR acquired land we went another 3 or 4 times at different locations. Minnesota johns that the DNR installed sure beet squatting over a pit. LOL
A very remote wilderness type campsite . Actually had lysh grass not dirt . The campsites are along way apart . Very quiet and peaceful. Good to great fishing as well . A lot of wildlife
Great level site, plenty of room, but a long walk up a hill to haul your gear, and not much of a view of the water.
I have a question about site 27? Can you get there by truck? Or is it a paddle in site?
