Black's Cliff Resort

We arrived late so didn’t get to have much interaction with the keeps, but they were gracious to meet us at the community room, answer any questions, and meet up the next morning for payment. Other than that little interaction, not much else with the keeps, though they were pleasant. Bayview was a nice, clean, quaint cabin with a small kitchen area, family/dining room with fireplace, two small bedrooms just enough to squeeze queen size bed in, and a pretty large screened porch that overlooked the lake. Firewood was provided. This is a nice, cozy spot with sufficient parking and space between cabins. We will be back!

We loved our first stay at Black's Cliff. The cabin was cozy, the bed swing was comfy and romantic and the screened in porch was our favorite room - rain or shine. We took fun canoe trip around the lake (thanks to canoes at the resort) and although I thought it was a bit cool for a swim in September a few others were swimming off the dock. I haven't see been able to find a resort like this as an adult - spent summers in northern Wisconsin at my grandparents' cabin. Black's Cliff brings back memories. Also the owners are great! They even sell cool hand made socks in their little gift store. We will be back!

This place is wonderful. When I rent a cabin in the woods I truly want it in the woods and that’s exactly what we got. Staff is amazing. Our cabin was very nice and exceptionally clean. The only reason that I gave the overall 4 stars is because I’m getting older and the resort sits on a hill and the stairs mess my with old bones. Not far from town, gas stations and bait shop. Would definitely stay here again.

This is our familys 6th year renting the 4 bedroom homes being the Red Pine for the first 2 years and the Bear Den for the last 4. First, the owners are wonderful people who take great pride in running the resort. The homes have always been spotless and ready to unpack. We stay for one week out of the year and look forward to many more.

Fantastic site and hosts! We stayed a week at Black's Cliff Resort, a group of 9 in our family. We had reserved the Bear's Den Lodge. The cabin was beautiful and well decorated. It has plenty of space for all of us (1 dog no children, all adults). The setting was very nice, surrounded by trees, with a slope down to the lake (a staircase all the way down). The dock was equipped with a rowboat, a paddle boat, a canoe, and a kayak. We also rented a pontoon boat for two half days  The lake was wonderful! We saw and heard loons every day, and sometimes they were close by while we were out in the watercraft. We also saw Bald Eagles, and there were deer around every night. The trails across the road were excellent and well marked. We hiked on them every day. Needless to say, we will be returning
