The location can’t be beat if you are looking for a smaller hotel on a quieter part of Myrtle Beach. Having a room with a balcony facing the beach was my reason for booking this location. The linens were clean and the room had appropriate furniture. But cleanliness and attention to details during previous renovations was lacking. Just know that this is an older building, you get what you pay for. Ray, the hotel manager was very kind and courteous, a much appreciated benefit.

April 2024 was the third time we stayed at willow bay resort and each time it was more than fantastic. Ray and Angie were the most gracious people we have ever had the experience to meet at the place we stayed.|plenty of parking on site, balcony view of ocean never to forget, room very nice for my wife and I plenty of everything we needed in bath, spotless clean room. a screw came out of lamp service was there in 10 minuets to fix. there was nothing below a+on the entire three trips. oh yes make sure you ask Ray about his Special room he made for the guest. you can tell he took great pride in making it.|a+ 5 stars whatever you call it, just fantastic..

Not as expected from photos. This was such a big mistake. Yes, it is oceanfront. But, beyond that full of disappointment. Very dated building and decor in office, lobby, hallways, etc. The carpeting in the hallways was filthy, trash cans in hall reeked of old food. Walked in to the room and it smelled of stale cigarette smoke. Could not stay, nor wanted to. There was no manager on-site only a phone number. Only got assistant mgr. Who kept saying we would need to talk with manager but wasnt available. Tried for a week to talk with manager and we were totally ignored. Would not refund our money. What a waste.

Let me start with the very few positives. The beach is right there walking distance, the water pressure is good, and the linens were relatively clean, for the most part. Now, let's get to everything wrong with this place. The check in. Staff was absolutely rude and unprofessional. They seemed more interested in their personal call which was on speaker phone than doing their job. They acted as if checking us in was the biggest inconvenience, gave us attitude, and in general had zero respect. One of the staff appeared as if they were under the influence of something or maybe had a very rough night prior. The hallways and common areas were dirty, muggy, lacked air conditioning, had zero rules such as noise, trash, common decency (for example, unruly children lighting off fireworks at one am o

We stayed here for two nights over memorial day weekend. First I will start with the positives. The view from our room was great. The beach is awesome and you are close to many things for convenience. Now the negatives. The remote control for the TV didn't work initially but that got resolved quickly. Half of the electrical outlets in the room did not work so we had to share the same phone charger and take turns. The Internet is very spotty and I eventually had to use my phone as a hot spot to finish watching my shows on the smart TV. The water pressure in the toilet was very low so you have to hold down the flusher for a while to get the toilet to flush. When I went to the elevator I found a pile of ice chips dumped out on the floor (see photos). I didn't get any sleep the first night be
