Customer Reviews
Two of my sons and I returned to Wilderness Bay for another week-long fall fishing trip, Sept. 20th-27th, ...staying in the Eagle cabin. The cabin and it's furnishings, the fish house, etc. were all in excellent condition, as were the grounds in general. Fishing was good as well! Plenty of live bait was just a few steps away at the Wilderness Bay store! A fine husband and wife team were on-site to take care of their customers! We'll be back!
Took our first trip to the Upper Peninsula and we will be back. The WildWings Cabin at Wilderness Bay Resort was so cozy! Wifi worked great, beds were super comfy. But what will bring us back here is the owners! Dan and Mel were awesome! Amazingly friendly, helpful and full of information. The proximity to the lake is so convenient. The beauty of this location is breathtaking!
I mean the place is awesome, dont get me wrong. The way its set up is totally annoying. You can't actually call the resort and talk to the people there unless you go there. It's all through a company. Let's not talk about how I paid $300/ night in SEPTEMBER for a 1 bedroom place and towels were not provided "due to supply shortages." What a load. I live in the UP and I know darn well this place has no problems getting towels. Not even a bath mat was provided!! Oh and then of course you have to clean everything before you leave (at 8 AM! What an absurd checkout time!) but there are no dish towels to dry your dishes. If I have to bring ALL my own towels and washcloths, I sure do not want to pay $300/night and have to leave at 8am. Provide ammenities for a $300 ONE bedroom cabin or lower the
The place was secluded, it's 7 miles down a twisting (well paved road) to get there. At night it was dead quiet and dark except for the dock lights by the lake. The air was refreshing, and clean. The location was perfect. The grass was well manicured around the cabin and common spaces. We didn't go to fish, but my daughter caught her first fish ever from the dock. I thought it was cool that you could rent a boat and they would drive it straight to your dock - not something I wanted to do but a benefit that I appreciated. The cabin was clean, dishes were clean. Beds were well made with plenty of covers and some extra covers and pillows. It all smelled clean. There were some fit and finish issues with the cabin such as one of the bedroom doors not closing and the bathroom door rubb
Our family just returned from spending a week at Wilderness Bay Lodge. Everything about our stay was amazing! Our group of 9 stayed in the deer cabin. It was so nice and clean too! This place is not only people friendly but dog friendly! We all had an amazing time. We thoroughly enjoyed our get away and we think you will too! We are looking forward to our next visit.
