Wild River Oregon

This was the coziest, most magical winter stay we could have had! The guesthouse has everything we could think of ready to use and it was so magical waking up to snow covered trees and horses out of the window!!! The bed is very comfortable (I accidentally slept for 10 hours!!). We also got to walk to the river and it had ice and snow on the shores. So beautiful! And the hosts were very accommodating and lovely. We also got to go on a trail ride with AnnMarie and the horses are very gentle and sweet, and they are very well cared for. I rode Luna and she is a gentle giant! I will be returning in summer for more!

Our accommodations were perfect. For someone who loves to be in nature and around animals it was wonderful to open up the door and see the horses. I’ve been on trail rides before. This was the first time I felt really comfortable on a trail ride. Anne-Marie was a fantastic guide, she was attentive to my partner who felt a little less secure than I did. She chose a wonderful trail through the forest. And gave us a lot of applicable instruction. I can see myself being a return customer. Great hospitality and beautifully cared for animals.

I love it here!! It’s so quiet and serene and lovely! AnnMarie and Luke are the kindest most thoughtful hosts making it the best experience ever. I’ve been going on trail rides here for months and every time I learn a little something and have an amazing time with the horses and AnnMarie. You won’t regret spending sometime here, taking from your pick of outdoor activities!:)

I have been on a couple trail rides with other folks and it’s safe to say I’ve always been a bit intimidated by horses. I can confidently say I’ve never felt more safe while going on a ride with AnnMarie. I have been on a couple of rides with her and not only is she an amazing instructor, her horses are the definition of gentile giants, I learn something new on every ride!!

The horses are well cared for and gentle. Anne-Marie took my daughter and I on a river trail in and out of pine forests. An amazing experience- big thanks to Luke and Anne-Marie!!
