Customer Reviews
You know a campground is good when you decide to return within a week! Three loops, one closest to the lake which also appeared to be the most crowded, one a bit higher up with also great high spots with views of the lakes and amazing surrounding mountains, one lower and closest to the road. The latter was almost unoccupied the first night we spent here. Clean vault toilets, nice water points. Closed for the season September 21st.
Incredible views at this campground! Some of the sites are closer together than others so definitely look at the map before booking if you care about being closer to other campers. The stars are great at night, and there's paddle board/kayak/canoe rental by the lake.
This campground was by far our favorite. The views were absolutely stunning. But beyond the views what made the campground really stand out was the hospitality. The camp host,Kathy, and her husband, Ed, were among some of our favorite people we meant on our adventure. They took the time to talk with us about our road trip and give us sights to check out and encouraged us to continue to be adventurous. The welcoming atmosphere of this campground and the people who work there made a lasting impression on us and I’m sure would on anyone who stays here.
The views here are incredible and the facilities are spotless—truly one of the nicest campgrounds we’ve stayed at. However, the total lack of leash rule enforcement made our stay very stressful. Multiple people let their dogs roam freely. One campsite in particular was out of control, big family with two dogs. When walking to get water the dog from their campsite charged ours which was leashed, didn’t have good recall and forced us to pick up our dog (65lb) to avoid a potentially very dangerous situation. Owners didn’t seem remorseful at all. So we tried to avoid them for rest of our stay. As we were leaving campsite. Guess what? Same people, same off-leash dogs, walking right past campsites again with no control. It felt unsafe and totally ignored by staff. This could easily be a 5-sta
What a great campground! Everything is so well taken care of and clean. Definitely a place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Colorado
