White Pines Inn & Suites of Holland

The hotel itself is decent. The breakfast is what’s to be expected. Staff super friendly. The room I stayed in was a fireplace/whirlpool suite. It was nice but was not clean. I was made aware at check in that the fireplace didn’t work which was fine because I didn’t even know it had one. There’s 2 tv’s one remote, found that odd. The room itself could use a major cleaning. There were stains and hand prints all over the walls. The couch was kinda gross. There was a toothpick flosser on the bench in the bedroom area. A dirty kids sock in the chair by the desk. The idea of the room is great but was gross. Near the tv in the bedroom the paint/ is down to the drywall. The shower tub had lots of hair in it. I think if this room was cleaned up it would be perfect.

Where to start. I saw that this place had just joined the Choice Hotel chain. I figured it must have been inspected and met their standards. It was probably the most disgusting, smelly, dirty hotel I have EVER stayed in. The ground in dirt around the perimeter of the carpets in rooms and public areas showed that it hadn't been vacuumed in years. Hair on sheets, leaks in bathroom, leftover stuff from previous guests, ice machine broken, caulking crumbled off in bathroom, rust on lamp base and it goes on and on. Luckily there was a Fairfield Inn right next door. I will never trust new hotels taken under the Choice brand; better yet, they may be off my rotation.

One thing you have to understand is, any hotel in Holland is not that nice. That being said, this is better than the Quality Inn, but still not in the best condition. It was reasonably priced, but there was a leak in the ceiling, the room was not cleaned, the breakfast was gone and they didn't make more before the time it was supposed to end, and I fell on the ice in front of the entrance because it wasn't taken care of. Also, we spent around 30 minutes in the hot tub and then were told it was out of order because the chlorine levels were too high. Would I stay here again? I guess if I had to.

Terrible never stay here again. The carpets were so dirty the little ones feet turned pitched black from the pool to the room. Went down to get breakfast at 8:30a.m. and there was none. One person running the whole place. The poor girl was over her head.

I’m normally not one to leave a review, but trust me you don’t want to stay here. We just checked out of here and it was very dirty. The carpets are soggy and sticky. My baby’s feet/ socks were stained black from the carpeting .The bathroom was covered in mold from the ceiling to the floors. The couch and linens are all stained and very dirty. The breakfast options are very limited. They have two hot food options that do not get replaced when they go empty. They have a waffle maker but it is out of order. Learn from my mistakes and trust the reviews on this place.
