White House Hotel

10 stars! Already booked again for fall after staying the first part of December! Staying in a historical home for a night is an experience that exceeds all expectations! The experience was wonderful, with outstanding restoration work and exceptional customer service. It was easy to imagine the hotel in its prime, with its speakeasy, bar room, and all its beautifully restored rooms. The place is absolutely phenomenal—a historic treasure masterfully brought back to its 1800s grandeur. The room we stayed in was spacious, comfortable, stunning, and steeped in history. The absence of other guests and staff made it feel like we were truly the keepers of such a prize. We came and went with ease and snuck a dance in the ball room area with no one around. Didn’t stay here but took the tour. Laurie was amazing and shared some great history of the building with us. They only use a fee f the rooms for overnight stays. The rest of the hotel is historically intact to enjoy. Best part of our whole Hermann, MO trip. Thank you!

Absolutely phenomenal place, a historic gem, expertly revived to its 1800’s glory. Stop considering and just book!! Absolutely worth the higher price tag. The room was huge, comfortable, beautiful, and swimming in history. The copper tub…oh my god, perfection. If you NEED a stand up shower don’t book the presidential suite, but the handheld shower head was plenty fine considering everything and we took the most glorious soaks in that 125 gallon tub. The entire hotel is just preserved in time but the fact that we didn’t run into a single other guest for the entire stay made it feel like we were truly transported in time.

5 stars isn’t enough to give our stay at the White House Hotel! The location is steps away from the Amtrak station which was very convenient after hours of travel. Then once you step inside, you’ll be blown away by the beauty of the building. From the incredible rooms, the luxurious ballroom, and basement speakeasy, our stay was like stepping back into history - while maintaining modern amenities. You can spend a whole hour just touring the hotel itself while going around and reading about its history. The hospitality given to us by Laurie was also top-notch. We felt right at home from the moment we walked in and had everything we needed (and more!). A+++ stay!

We had a wonderful stay at the White House Hotel. The room was spotless and every detail was thought of. We appreciated the tour and learning the history of the hotel. It was close to everything and we appreciated the suggestions made as we had never been to Hermann. We will definitely make plans to stay again in the future!
