The Wohlt House

We stayed at The Wohlt Haus the weekend of 12/20–12/21 and had a fantastic experience. The room was very spacious and decorated with beautiful period décor that fits Hermann’s historic charm without feeling overdone. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The location was another big plus—an easy walk from the Amtrak station and just a short stroll to downtown, making it simple to get around without driving. Highly recommended, and we would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely beautiful historical home, right next to the Missouri River, walking distance from many wineries, shops, bars and restaurants. The Garden Suite was amazing. Only negative to say is that the breakfast vouchers didn't cover the whole amount for breakfast.

My husband and I loved our stay! The host was very helpful and kind. Loved being able to stay in such a historic home within walking distance of everything we wanted to do! The huge tub was one of my favorite parts of the room. Trains are very close, however I love the sound of trains, so this was no problem for me. 10/10 would stay again.

We did a Girls Family Birthday weekend in Hermann to celebrate my daughter's 21st Birthday and the Wohlt House was the perfect stay for us. It's in a great location within walking distance to downtown winery, distilleries, shops and restaurants. It has amazing bathrooms that you have to see to appreciate. Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable beds, and wonderful owner to work with. One note is that the train does run behind this property. It was not a problem for us, but for anyone that is a light sleeper it is something to note. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the Wohlt House for its location and fantastic rooms, location, and owner!

Our friends had rented the whole house. We unfortunately took the Attic room. The bathroom was tiny. Shower was dark and needed some TLC. There was no space for setting anything down and there was no mirror. Because the ceilings are slanted you will hit your head a lot. 😳Probably a good space for kids.|The outside Gardens were overgrown and not kept. We did have access to the kitchen because we rented the whole house, but it is a very tiny kitchen.
