White Buffalo Hotel

Poor. Room was clean but|1-4 adults only 2 meals per room so you'll pay an additional $30 for 2 more to eat. In addition to 238 for a room equivalent to motel 6. |2-outlets too loose for today's electronics so laptop and phone not charged|3 light fixture had to be fixed by us|4 shower water tepid at best no hot shower|5 grounds need some repair. Even old can be in working condition|6 bugs in overhead light needs cleaned |7 vending machine no water available and non to purchase on site. |Staff at desk not helpful when attempting to report issues. |Suggest if traveling use other hotel choice in west yellowstone.

Positive: I chose this hotel for it's location near the yellowstone national park entrance. There are several choices in the same area though. Negative: We could hear EVERYTHING going on in the rooms above and beside us. The stay was very noisy.

Not sure how any of the hate for this hotel is justified? We had a wonderful stay. Some key points. Rooms: The rooms are simple yet kept well and clean. They are a bit out of date but completely functional, which to me is a benefit. It adds a nice charm to the hotel, especially with the vintage posters on the walls. I never at all felt grossed out by the condition of the hotel. I had a nice conversation in Spanish every morning with the lady who was (ALWAYS) cleaning something and she told me she "want's people to feel comfortable and at home when they walk in." I think she did a great job at that, plus she was very sweet and had great stories to tell. I have stayed in penthouse suites, and Super 8 Motels all across America and around the world. Rooms are old and outdated. Beds are uncomfortable. Dirty old carpet. Doors are gapped and does not shut properly. No fridge or microwave. TV is small and only receive a handful of stations. Do not get a lower level because all you here is creaking from the people above you. There are no elevators. The location is good but that's about all.

The hotel had lots of parking and was in a great location that let us walk to restaurants. Our room was spacious, the bed and bedding were warm and comfortable. The carpets are standard hotel carpets, I wouldn't want to walk around it barefoot. The main reason we chose this place was for the hot breakfast included in our booking. Service was great, they dish the food out for you and it was hot and fresh. If you're sensitive to noise while sleeping, you might want earplugs at some guests were chattering quite loudly in the hallway and it could be heard within our room.
