Whale Watch Motel

My mom and I have 5 dogs between us and find it very difficult to travel together because most places won’t allow so many dogs or they charge a ridiculous fee. We found the Whale Watch Motel and were in complete shock on how low the pet fee was and that they actually welcomed us to bring all of our dogs. ||||We knew going in that this was an older motel and we were not expecting anything fancy. We got there late our first night and Barry showed us to the room. It was VERY clean, just like the reviews had stated, but the beds were too firm for our liking. The next morning we spoke with Patricia and she gladly accommodated us and got us into another room. We invited her into our room to meet our dogs and she stayed for a while playing with them and talking with us. We really felt like we wer

Barry & Pat are wonderful hosts. They constantly check to see if you need anything. The motel is clean and has everything you need for a beach vacation. A nice restaurant is within steps of our room. The beach is right across the street. We enjoyed sitting outside to watch the waves and listening to the ocean. The beach is not congested at all. You will find fancier hotels but will never feel so welcome.

Just a quick review of ownership and hospitality! Just visited Flagler and a surprise Golf cart breakdown. The owner was so helpful giving us a lift to our vehicle and getting our charger and letting us charge the battery at his place. Altho we didn't stay at the hotel, we found his kindness to a couple strangers most kind. We will definitely recommend his place and quaint establishment to friends! As he says, not the Ritz, but 5 star kindness and hospitality! Thank you !

We had a last minute vacation invite to Flagler Beach Memorial Day weekend. And it wasn’t easy finding a nice place. I was so thrilled to speak to Barry and book the Whale Watch! This place is an old school motel with lovely people and clean rooms. They are pet friendly also! For the price we could have paid to be right on the ocean, I am so happy to have found this place. If you get a chance, I recommend you check this place out. Thanks to Barry and Pat for their hospitality!

We love this dog friendly motel. Owners, Patricia and Barry are the best! They are super nice people and always go out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. If you appreciate a modest, clean older motel you'll love it here too. We especially enjoy having the ability to cook and having access to refrigerator/freezer in the effeciency or cottages. If you prefer not cooking while vacationing the regular rooms will save you some money. Reasonable pricing steps from the dog and family friendly beach. Always enjoy our time here and there's even a pool. Also great restaurant and full liquor bar right next door at the Beach Front Grill.
