Westside Motel

The new ownership of this property is really going above and beyond making the accommodations comfortable, secure and functional! The room was quiet and cozy with new updated bathrooms, paint, new furniture and soft comfy bedding and great pillows. I loved the details from scenic photography on the walls to an array of teas and coffees to choose from to extra blankets if needed. Having a fridge and microwave was a great addition as well. Don't let the outside fool you (not saying its bad, its just not as nice as the inside rooms currently) as they are definitely taking priority into getting the rooms comfy and secure first! If I'm ever passing through Walden again, I will absolutely choose to stay here!

I just finished reading a nasty snarky review on here and wish to place my review to counteract hers. I stayed at Westside just last night. My husband and I have been on our Harleys for about a month, so we search for simple, clean, and economical motels. Here is the deal: If you want a vacation resort with swimming pool, a bar in the pool, jacuzzi in your room, for Gods sake, don't stay here. If you want a clean simple room, with a microwave, frige, tv, and a clean shower, do stay here. I had a super comfy bed, and I am a light sleeper. I take what I get for the money, but this bed was comfortable. It is perhaps a new bed, I am not sure. My shower was new, and clean! If you have a problem with anything, go to Carol. Great owner and very helpful. She is the kind of person you could talk to for hours. The rooms are very comfortable and very spacious. I travel and it is nice to have the space to put your things away. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are very quiet. I would recommend this place to anyone. The prices are very good and definitely worth your money. It isn't right on the main hi way either so not the constant noise of the traffic experienced at the other places. Thanks Carol for making our stay so enjoyable.

This was my first stay in Walden and my boyfriend and I had reserved another room at another hotel yet upon our arrival we were notified our room was not yet available. Very much in a tight spot as we were just up for the day to hike and had our dog with us we quickly found Westside Motel to be pet friendly. ||Annette was very pleasurable and quickly accommodating to us and our needs. ||She put us in one of her newer rooms. It was very clean and we enjoyed a rather comfortable bed and a very nice size bathroom and shower.|||As this is not a 5 star in Denver Westside motel is very reasonable for Walden giving you a quaint, rustic and functional stay. We must reiterate that both Annette and Carol were very flexible and most hospitable. Complete with the offer to walk our dog!!! ||Thank you

We made plans for our trip months in advance on the computer so was not sure what type of motel we was getting in our budget range. The room was small and cozy had a problem with the toilet so reported it and had a service person show up quickly to fix it. Our trip had us staying at different places and each one had something unique to add to our trip. Don't need to go with the big-name chain motels for a good nights sleep the little ones with charm and caring service are the best!
