Western Inn

This motel is a diamond in the rough and is going to be even better when they finish up their current renovations.||The new owner and staff at Western Inn are phenomenal! If you have any issue with your stay, they do everything in their power to fix it immediately. The room I stayed in was so clean! I felt at home and comfortable there. I NEVER typically feel comfortable walking barefoot in my hotel/motel room because the floors are often so dirty. This room was so clean that I felt fine in doing so and even played with my dog on the floor.||I had an electric fireplace in my room, which was a nice touch for cooler days. Would not recommend. Unfortunate circumstances landed me and my family at the western in from may to the first week of august. In the beginning mark the owner/manager was a godsend. He was good to my kids and worked with us on rent while we were getting on our feet. But at the end of school his wife moved to the property full time for the summer and things went downhill quickly. The other tenants are loud. Obnoxious and nosey. Amanda discusses everyone’s business with everyone. One tenant has a dog that is kept on the porch of there room so you smell urine and feces constantly. The water system is a mess. Breakers pop. The Wi-Fi was useless. We had mold in our room and there are several decrepit rooms with mold and mildew. You could smell the mold coming from the basement. Cleaning service

Please don't be put off by reviews of several years ago. This motel is under new management, and Mark, the owner, is doing everything to make it a pleasant, comfortable, reasonably priced, convenient place to stay. Many renovations are underway, with more to come. We are fans of smaller, Mom and Pop type roadside motels, the kind that are sadly disappearing. We were lucky to find this place, and had a great 3 night stay. Our room was refurbished, with new carpet, fresh paint, comfortable beds, and great hot water. A few small issues were addressed, and corrected immediately by Mark. He truly cares about his guests. We were traveling with our Greyhounds for an event, and the motel is very pet friendly. This place is absolutely horrible. Room smelled old, like it hadn’t been cleaned. Bathrooms were dirty. Also don’t expect them to fix things in your room, because they won’t. Our toilet rocked back and forth, was always running, and mold grew in it constantly (we cleaned it almost everyday, and by night time it would have BLACK MOLD in it) The man who runs the place is nice, but don’t trust his wife with personal information because she will tell everyone there (other guests and staff members) Water was cold half of the time, power constantly went out, and wifi was down for over a month. Don’t trust the good reviews, they’re either fake or forced.

This place should be condemned and that is not even an exaggeration. When we pulled up, we were astonished to find a broken trampoline in the front yard, with no safety netting, mismatched patio furniture dumped in various spots all over the front lawn, junk everywhere, weeds, and a lawn that hasn’t been mowed in months. Imagine the worst looking motel you have ever driven by…. This was 100 times worse. Each motel room facade is different from the next, the paint doesn’t match, windows are broken, there are old cars and a broken down short bus parked out front. Random junk on porches of some rooms, with exterior walls patched but not painted. It’s an eyesore and looks like a dumping ground.
