Wentworth Mansion

We absolutely loved our anniversary trip here! The service was impeccable, the wine and appetizers every night was a nice touch and gave us opportunities to mingle and meet other guests. The history and classic feel of the hotel was so unique and we enjoyed it. The room had a fireplace in the room and in the bathroom which was cool! The knowledge of the history from the staff was really impressive and we enjoyed hearing about it. We would absolutely come back. Circa 1886 was fantastic as well! Breakfast over there was amazing and dinner was wow!

My husband and I stayed at the Wenworth for 3 nights at the very end of the year. We have been to Charleston before and stayed at some of the bigger hotels, but none come close to the experience of staying at the Wentworth. We had a fantastic experience, all of the staff was wonderful and very helpful. We really enjoyed the charm and history of the property. Very walkable too, we only took an Uber one day to a restaurant that was a bit out of walking distance. Our room was serviced everyday when we were out and about, and we recieved turndown service each night, complete with a weather forecast for the next day and chocolates. Wentworth Mansion has been a bucket list hotel for me, and we had an incredible stay! As one would expect, all aspects were really perfect. Check-in included a tour of the mansion and review of the amenities. All of the staff were perfectly attentive and helpful, and we really enjoyed talking to them. We had a snow storm during our stay, and they handled it all very well. I found that they did a great job informing of all you need to know about various times for breakfast, evening reception, etc. We had booked an East Wing room -- the most basic room -- and were upgraded to a Mansion Room due to my Hilton status. Complimentary items included: in-room stocked mini-fridge (Coke, DC, water, sparkling water), cooked-to-order breakfast at Circa 1886 restaurant, evening hors d'oeuvres and wine

Had our wedding reception meal at Circa 1886 then spent two perfect nights at the hotel. A wonderful memory we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Tristan was the warmest and sweetest welcome to the city. Wishing him a wonderful new year. We’ll be coming back for anniversaries. <3

Staying at the Wentworth mansion is an experience in itself. The hotel is a converted historic house which is still owned by one family. The common areas are charming and the rooms have been restored to reflect their historic character. The fireplace we had in our room was wonderful and gave it a cozy feel. The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. It was clear that the people who work at Wentworth are proud of the hotel. There is free coffee and pastries in the morning, wonderful ice tea and lemonade in the afternoon, snacks in the late afternoon and port and whiskey available free of charge. I can't recommend the hotel highly enough. Take advantage of the breakfast that comes with the stay at Circa 1886, but don't bother eating dinner at the actual resta
