When we arrived, we were a little worried the AC wouldn't be able to keep the heat at bay so we called the desk and Brittany brought us a fan as well. We dropped our stuff in the room and went out for a few hours and the AC was perfect. The beds were comfortable but the pillows went flat through the night. Oh well. The room was cute, clean, and everything worked fine (fridge, microwave, coffee maker). The shower and bathroom were clean and fine. Overall, the room was spacious and we didn't hear other guests or road noise. This place was a five minute walk to the boardwalk at Weirs Beach. Thank you for the great little motel!
My husband and I just stayed in one of the smaller cottages it was our first time at this location (first time in the area as adults) and it was a great experience. ||Check in process was simple with clear instructions. The room was clean (as well as the entire property), everything functioned as it should. The towel/toiletries replenishment process was easy. There is not house keeping during your stay in the sense they don't come in your "room" and clean daily which is something I actually prefer. ||The few interactions we had with the staff members were all pleasant. We did not use the pool during our stay, but did see it be cleaned daily.||The location is great because you are within walking distance to the downtown area, but far enough away that you can relax and have some peace. The location was perfect. The room itself was very clean with a few minor issues due to its age and did not need maintenance - it's simply old, and unfortunately without cable (as they disclosed in advance). The woman in the office was very helpful and the people cleaning the rooms on the property were nice and welcoming. Because I had some mobility issues, I opted for the motel style rooms, and I was able to peek at the cottages for possible future stay. I was next to the pool and never heard anything when people were in it. It was very pleasant overall and hope to re-visit. Also, office staff reached out when my friend forgot to return one room key instead of immediately charging credit card - it's that kind of place. We will return.
We absolutely loved this place. Tiny little cottage that was within walking distance to everything...restaurants, shops, the beach, ice cream, bars, the arcade....even a tattoo shop if you want to get a tat. It was perfect. The screened in porch was nice. We drank and played cards every night. The maid doesn't come in, which We like. If you want clean linens, you can fill out the sheet and put your dirty stuff in the wash basket and set it out. If I had to find something bad to say, it would be that it was a smig too pricy. I paid $179 a night. I recently staying in a hotel that gave us fresh baked cookies upon check in and at check out, there was a hot tub and sauna and a HUGE gym. I paid $115 a night there. I feel $149 would have been spot on but I dont regret staying.
My son and stayed here for the second time in three years at the end of June. We were attending the James Taylor concert both times. The first time we stayed one night in the motel section. It was clean and comfortable. This time, three weeks ago, we got a cottage for three days. Clean! So clean! And after that town goes through Biker Week in June? I was simply praying. The cabins have AC, which was a blessing because it was very humid. Our own little screened in porch, a picnic table if you wanted it and chairs outside. TV, Coffee maker and pods, mini fridge etc. And the best part? You walk two tenths of a mile down the hill? You are at the lake and the shops and restaurants. For anyone on a budget, this place is a gem. It’s not fancy. But it’s clean. It’s affordable. And honestly? What
