Walnut Meadow RV Park

Very nice old campground. It's is not a place we would stay long term but for short term it's great. We stay spring and fall on way to/from Florida. We've stayed here now for 4 years. Megan and Andrea are both easy to work with and accommodating. You can't beat the price and in 4 years we've stayed they have removed several old long term campers which improved appearance of campground and makes you feel safer, implemented computer program for reservations. They do need to repair all potholes from main road to the campground and the interior roads need holes fixed and added gravel. Our site was missing the picnic table?The guys that escorts to site are both friendly and helpful. We do not use facilities but they are nice. We recommend at minimum for short stays.

Do not recommend staying there they let you rent the spot for a week then when you get there and set up they come and say your camper is to old and my camper 2001 not junky all but that I can deal with but to wait til I'm gone then cut the electric off and my dog inside and he was already a rescue dog that got abused and was just getting his weight back got back there to get the camper the dog was in the corner shaking an didn't want to get up but all I can say I hope god deals with your ugliness you don't abuse animals .not to mention. The place is no Camp ground they would not of got the one star if I didn't have to leave it to leave a review

We were leaving Cincinnati Ohio and wanted to knock down about three hours of travel time for us so we decided to book a overnight layover site here. It is very conveniently off the interstate reasonably priced the lady that welcomes you is super friendly and happy to help you, they are pool through spots for big units. My unit is about 65 feet long with Truck. They have power they have water. They have sewer level so I didn’t have to unhook. I just lifted weight off the truck. It’s off the interstate you don’t hear the noise I would recommend this place sleep for a layover to catch some sleep for your next journey.

Made a reservation that we booked thru campspot and paid a site lock fee for a spot on the river with our friends so we could have a spot next to each other. Drove 4 hours to get there and pulled up to check in and was greeted by what appeared to be a homless guy on a golf cart and he says sorry you can't have those spots that you booked I can give you other spots but not next to the water and not next to each other. So I told the guy that we paid the extra money to lock in the spots that we booked online and we need those spots that we booked. The guy literally lost his mind and started screaming at us and said that we will take the sites he gave us or we could leave, he also said some other things I will not repeat. We stayed here while on a travel nurse assignment, it was affordable and had plenty of space to walk around and play with your dogs! The workers here are always willing to answer any questions and help you if you need it. It was nice that they had an area for the people staying longer term. We felt welcomed here and would definitely come back if we were ever in the area! The only complaint we had was how the sites are in the back area for the long stays. When leaving and maneuvering your trailer it isn't always easy to get in and out and it seems as though the sites are facing a Strange direction making it hard to exit, especially since so many people park multiple vehicles in the way.
