Walker Getaway

I hosted a retreat for female entrepreneurs and this location was absolutely perfect!! A short drive to a beach on the lake, the cutest interior, and we definitely enjoyed the outdoor areas! I hosted a workshop as well and the living room was perfectly spacious for that as well as some crafts! Highly recommend!!

Walker Getaway is a true gem in Rockville. My son walked in and said, “This is the nicest cabin I’ve ever seen!” He was correct! The decor is beautiful and it sits on a gorgeous property that is close to Raccoon Lake. We loved sitting on the outside patio and playing a card game as a family. It felt so homey and charming. I would definitely recommend staying at this cabin for a family weekend, girls trip, couples trip, or even hosting a shower or small wedding! Rae is also a great host and super communicative. She provided a guide with instructions and things to do around the area. We found a great restaurant thanks to her easy to read guide. I already can’t wait to go back!

Our girls extended weekend trip was a great escape. This beautiful house was an amazing location for us to snack, craft, relax, antique, and purposely reconnect! The weather was cold but the views from inside this cozy cabin kept us warm. Plenty of room and beautiful decor with too many special touches to list. It was a wonderful time and we are already planning our return trip. We can’t wait to come back and enjoy all the outdoor spaces!

Walker Getaway/Rae’s Rentals was such a great place to stay for Labor Day weekend! My in laws met us there, roughly a half way point. We had plenty of room and the space was so inviting and welcoming! We have three little kids and they enjoyed it too! It’s close to the beach area for Raccoon Lake which we enjoyed twice. And used the wagon and chairs that were provided by the rental. We also took our boat out on Raccoon Lake at the Walker Dock which was maybe 5 min away from the a frame cabin! The space was so clean and had cookies and a welcome note to greet us when we got there! A great way to have purposeful time away with our family! We’re already try to plan a weekend away for 2024!

This home was the absolute perfect getaway to catch up with a great friend that I now only see a couple of times each year. It was perfectly, newly renovated and warmly decorated for fall - it felt like home! We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, and the areas outside that were so comfortable and allowed us to be in nature. We did not want to leave. Next time, we will be staying much longer!! Everything was perfect.
