Royal Inn Rockville

Rooms were a bit pricey for what they were. They could update comforters on the beds. I got a "suite" one night and a normal room the next and they were identical except one was a king bed and the other room was 2 beds. The bathrooms you could see where repairs were done poorly. Small fridge and microwave, small flat screen tvs. One room was 150ish and the other was 80ish cant remember exact price. The convenience was the location to turkey run and shades state parks. The heat worked well and the view from the windows in the normal room was nice. The bathroom had red lights to heat the bathroom but only worked in the "suite" I didnt complain or care too much as I did not plan on using them. The water pressure was good. Walls were thin and I could hear everyone talking as they walked

Positive: It was close to the bridge festival Negative: Several things! It needs to be remodeled! Bed weren’t made when we arrived late in the day. No water to drink or ice machine except for a guy.. we had poor service.

stayed here this past weekend. there are a few things that really stood out to me as unacceptable. the halls were lined with historical pictures, some of which contain confederate flags. not cool whatsoever. furthermore, I went to take a shower in my hotel room which is quite frankly overpriced for the quality, and the knob would not turn. went to the front desk and waited 5 minutes for the lady to get off a phone call (on speaker) with who I'm assuming was a family member to see if I could get any help. I told her about my issue and she didn't care. "oh well we had someone stay here this past weekend and nothing was broken". she then proceeded to not get up and check, send anyone to check, offer a partial refund or anything. not a great hotel whatsoever and needs under new management.

The website stated that there was an onsite restaurant- not true at all . There is a continental breakfast that they have but not a buffet as stated. Also, Tv remote didn’t work and tv could not be used without the remote when we asked for new batteries to the older lady at the front desk we were basically told ….. too bad , they wouldn’t have any u til tomorrow. While we were asking for batteries we witnessed the same lady being extremely rude to a person that came to ask about any available rooms. We had also inquired about available amenities such as snacks , drinks etc that would be available to purchase, the front desk lady again was rude in responding to me, acting as though that was an outrageous question. The hotel is located reasonably close to Turkey Run and Shades State Parks. Very reasonably priced. Older decor, but clean and nice. Ok continental breakfast. Personal were very nice.
